Tuberflora Nursery is situated in Muldersdrif, Gauteng with its beginnings in 1969 as a cucumber farm which gradually transformed into one of the largest growers of outdoor and indoor plants in South Africa.
This family-owned business today supplies various plant products and nursery accessories to retail nurseries countrywide by way of its privately owned fleet. Originally concentrating on indoor plants Tuberflora has in the last 15 years expanded its product range to include patio and garden plants.
Tuberflora also has a seed germination plant from which an extensive range of seedlings are grown to supply our own needs as well as other wholesalers and growers.
Tuberflora has approximately 70 000 m² of covered areas where the plants are grown in different stages with areas being artificially heated in the winter months by way of an extensive layout of pipes being fed by a boiler system.
Tuberflora has a staff complement of around 120 permanent staff which can increase to around 140 during the busy season.
